Her role is largely adapted from the Disney animated film, in which she tries to hide away Rapunzel from the world to use the power of her hair to keep her young. Mother Gothel, who stole Rapunzel away when she was a baby, returns in Kingdom Hearts 3. Meanwhile, Maximus returns as well, largely in the narrative role he had in the film. Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, and Maximus – Rapunzel and Flynn Rider appear as party members in Kingdom Hearts 3, with Rapunzel using her hair for both combat and traversal. Ham and Aliens – Among the toys who can be accounted for in the Toy Story world of Kingdom Hearts 3 are Ham and the Aliens. The two are on the hunt for some of their missing friends, along with Rex and a few others who are accounted for. Woody, Buzz, and Rex – Woody and Buzz take center stage in Kingdom Hearts 3’s Toy Story level, in an original story set between films. Hercules and Zeus – With the return of Hercules himself comes the promise of meeting his father, too, as Sora and the gang venture into Mount Olympus proper. Megara, Phil, and Pegasus – Hercules’ true love, his mentor, and his trusty steed all make some sort of appearance in Kingdom Hearts 3, as the franchise returns to the world of Hercules. Hades – The big bad of the Underworld, Hades is back and has brought the Titans with him to wreak havoc on Earth. The Titans – The elemental foes of Hercules are back with a vengeance in Kingdom Hearts 3, and as we’ve already seen in pre-release demoes, Sora will face off in a massive battle against the Rock Titan. Maleficent and Pete – After leading an army of Disney villains in Kingdom Hearts 1, and teaming up with Pete in Kingdom Hearts 2, Maleficent returns with some clear evil intent, and a search for a black box, but what else she wants is unknown.Ĭhip & Dale – Engineers of all things Gummi in the Kingdom Hearts universe, Chip and Dale return to give Sora some much needed upgrades in Kingdom Hearts 3.
